Jumbled bunch of things I feel you need to know, now
This is a little example of how I have changed over the last couple of years. One picture is from 2018 and the other is from 2022.
This post will be one of a very few where you will see pictures of me before HRT and hear my dead name. This is only because I feel it’s necessary for you to see my complete journey.
When I was born I was assigned the name Nathan Phillip Gilbert, though in Elementary school I took on the last name of Kennedy to match my mothers new married name, and on the outside everyone saw me as a boy. Inside however, I felt very different and not comfortable with anything about being a traditional boy, but I kept that camouflage going for many years as it was pressed upon me that I had to in order to “fit in” and not disrupt the status quo.
Being trans is a very personal experience and each of us that are trans comes to understand that at different points of our lives. For me it started in 1980 when I was in preschool, though the term trans was not well known at that time and most of what is clear now was just considered child play. My earliest memories of being trans are loving to dress up in the girl’s clothes in the play area and preferring to hang out with the girls in my class as I really did not like the way a lot of the boys played. I will go into more details about this past in future posts as there are many parts that I would like to focus on and this post is more of a summary.
What to expect in the future
As you might imagine I have a lot to say, after all I have been around for 46ish years and I have a few things to say about a lot of things. I hope this little introduction has you interested to read more as I post and I will do my best to make things easy to read in single sitting.
I will be posting a lot about Transgender issues, including my journey to becoming the woman I have always known I am, as well as more mundane items like good food, places we visit, and so many other things that make up my journey through this existence.
